"How can the book as body and curated space be expanded in a series of authorships against the backdrop of new media and conceived along the concept of archive in a repository? The investigations and findings, which are gathered phenomenologically as well as empirically in research and teaching by the research team and cooperation partners, serve to concretize the guidelines of the publishing house as well as the formulation of a contemporary conception of academic publishing. How can we rethink the concept of reading, publication and publishing in terms of space, time and zeitgeist?

The first university publishing house UE Publishing Practices aims to collect, explore and develop innovative forms of scientific and artistic-scientific publication and communication in a transformative publishing practice, where distribution channels in science and knowledge transfer change and develop new frameworks. With an inclusive attitude UE Publishing Practices strives to provide a platform for academics and students to present their scientific and artistic-scientific research with hybrid methods to a wider audience.

The institutional establishment collaborates with authors, designers/artists, editors and publishers and functions as a contemporary guide throughout the publishing process. UE Publishing Practices promotes an interdisciplinarity art of publishing and functions as a bridge between academic faculties and departments creating a collective space for explorative study in scientific fields. It encourages unconventional and experimental forms of publications and promotes reflective interactivity between research and researcher."
